Students from the Department of Real Estate and Construction became graduates on Monday 18 June. The sun shone down on the astro turf that had taken over the car park in one amazing transformation. The ceremony itself took place in the main hall. Speeches were given by Anthony Lavers, Visiting Professor of Law and Rubaid Zaidi, who graduated at the ceremony with a 2.1 in Real Estate Management. After the ceremony came the reception. Held in an enormous marquee complete with a red carpet and chandeliers. Graduates and their families spilled out onto the grass (real grass) to enjoy the sunshine, drinks and pastries that had been laid on by the Vice-Chancellor (can Vice-Chancellors really make the sun shine?)
